Meet Liliana Wolf
If could define in a few words what I do for a living, I would say: I help those who suffer from the effects of disconnection to connect with themselves, and with their surroundings.
Hi, I am Liliana Wolf
I am passionate about my work. I’d better be. I have been practicing psychotherapy for the last twenty-six years. I have worked with thousands of men and women from all walks of life, and I have witnessed the resilience of the human spirit at its best. I have also seen the pendulum swing more times than not. From the systematic approach of the cognitive behavioral model of psychotherapy to the more holistic approaches of current times.
When it comes to alleviating emotional pain, there are a myriad of options, nowadays. Many of my clients find me through HealthGrades as they search for licensed clinicians; some through good old-fashioned word of mouth. Yet others, have first tried less conventional approaches, such as placing themselves under the care of life coaches who have little or no formal training in behavioral science, and/or ‘energy healers’, who promised them the world. Many have tried it all just to find themselves trapped in a never- ending re-enacting of over-learned patterns of behaviors.
Few things can be more frustrating and disheartening. I know.
Should you find yourself seeking change, meaningful change, my promise is to guide you in order to bring about the transformation you wish to achieve by implementing the best evidence-based therapeutic approach available in a wholesome blend of psychotherapy, workshops, retreats for women and couples, and online courses.
My style is warm and non-judgmental, yet one that encourages growth through personal accountability. I believe we are, after all, masters of our own destiny.
On a personal note, I live in the same ranch style Gables home my husband and I bought about thirty-five years ago, this is where we raised our son. I also have my private practice in the same area where I opened my first office over two decades ago.
If you gather from this that I love the stability of familiar surroundings, you would be absolutely right.
But that is about it.
I seek the challenge that change poses. I value growth, choosing to be courageous instead of laying low in my comfort zone. And I walk the talk when it comes to connecting with myself and my surroundings as I seek to connect in meaningful ways with my family, friends, and the thousands of listeners that tune into my Spanish language radio show “Conectando Contigo” from various parts of the world.
Now, don’t you be fooled. My life is not perfect. I don’t know anyone who leads one that is, yet it is the life I choose to live.
It is authentic and I love it that way.
